BeiraLacte is a cheese production unit located in Alcaria, in the heart of the demarcated cheese region of Beira Baixa. Its owners are descended from cheese families in the Cova da Beira region, and have been producing cheese since 1981, combining modern standards of quality control, art and knowledge of generations.

Tasting Beiralacte - Cured Cheese - 100% Goat - Portuguese CheeseThis Beiralacte Cured Goat cheese has a minimum curing of 40 days. It presents a semi-soft paste, semi-dry, matte white color, with few holes scattered irregularly in the dough. Its peel is of heterogeneous yellow-brown to brownish color.
The flavor is magical: Sharp dairy flavor with final notes of toast, dried apple and violets.
