ABOUT ADEGA DO MONTE BRANCO - PORTUGUESE RED WINE
The top of the range of Adega do Monte Branco. Produced only in exceptional years, it represents the best of the two plots: Alicante Boushet on shale soils, Aragonez on calcareous soils.
Lus Louro, who was born and raised in Alentejo, has always had a close connection to the land. He decided to pursue his own project in 2004, when he was only 23 years old, and Adega do Monte Branco was born.
The bases are simple: Portuguese grape varieties, authentic wines and respect for nature and it is in the vineyard that the most important part of the work is centered.
" At Adega do Monte Branco every day we try to return to the authenticity of what defines our vision of the Alentejo. Our constant search is for the improvement of what is original: purity of the soils, rusticity of the grape varieties we use, more than three thousand hours of sunshine and a team determined to always try to do better with what we have best, progressing continuously on the path of sustainability.
We believe that the way to perfect wines is through respect for history and the authenticity of the raw material. From the grapes of 44ha of vineyard planted in shale and limestone soils, we seek a constant balance and freshness in our wines, while developing a sustainable project. ”
